No. The RX-V385 receiver has only 5 channels plus a preamp out for subwoofer. To be a 7.1 system, it would have to have 7 channels. The specification sheet doesn't state what the power rating for each channel is. The true measure of power should be if watts RMS. Its doubtful the unit could produce more power. My unit failed after only 3 days. I am still waiting to get it fixed.
