“Why is the sound of swords clashing sharp & distinct on a friend's cheap soundbar but dull/muted on my new Yamaha YHT-4950UBL regardless of sound field used or other changes?”

After much experimentation & help from Yamaha CS, I believe this is only a fluke in the friend's cheap soundbar as all other sounds in all other movie scenes tested sound excellent.
