It is NOT junk - it's a YAMAHA. I bought this unit refurbished earlier this year at just under $100 and intended to give it as a gift to my wife's teenage nephew. But after trying it out at my office, its been in use for over 8 months playing solid from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. I listen to FM for NPR news in the morning then play a 50-disc SONY CD Changer connected to the dedicated CD set of RCA input jacks or I will play my SONY MP3 player connected to the LINE 1 RCA input jacks for a wider variety of random play music. It has great specifications at 100 R.M.S. (i.e. honest) watts per channel. I consider it a bargain at the latest offering of under $50. I may take advantage of this bargain price and finally give one to my wife's nephew as I originally intended to do.

It performs from 8am till 5pm, Monday through Friday listening to NPR in the morning and either a 50-disc CD changer or a MP3 player from 9am till I leave work. And in each case I use the dedicated RCA L/R set of connectors for the CD and LINE 1 for the MP3 player. It does have a remote control, so that this offering for under $50 is a steal - I'd jump on it. I actually bought it as a gift for my wife's nephew, but as of yet, it hasn't left my office.
