• Short answer is Yes, since the Video from your source (cable, satellite, or streaming) does Not pass through this Audio receiver it only produces your sound to speakers. One easy way is to connect your TV’s Audio Out to this Audio Receiver, then program your TV remote to control The volume from this receiver. Mine works great.

• Yes. It has analog audio and aux audio inputs. It on has 2 channels however (left and right) so it doesn't offer the benefit of front, rear, subwoofer, and center audio that a 6 channel receiver would produce.
