The short answer is yes. My husband (who is the user of this) says you should download the manual from Yamaha (it is free) before buying it, and read it to be sure it will do what you need it to do. There isn't a paper manual (not a complete one) in the package.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can. Use the composite video INPUT (red/yellow/white RCA connectors) on the receiver. The TV should receive from an outside source, like OTA television or DVD into the TV then output from the TV to the A/V receiver. I would not input into the receiver and then out to the TV because composite video (red/yellow/white RCA connectors) can only display a video resolution of 480i (standard definition). So, video into the TV then sound out to the receiver. You wouldn't even need to use the yellow. Once you get a new TV reverse everything. All inputs go into the receiver then out to the TV via HDMI ARC.
