“I have a high end Samsung 4K TV with 3D capability. My current Yamaha receiver will not support either the 4K or 3D. Will this receiver accommodate both 4K and 3D? If not, can you suggest one that will? I prefer Yamaha.”

Yes, it will...as long as you have the correct HDMI cables (HDMI 1.4 cables will not work). See page 106 on the PDF user's manual

Best Buy should answer your questions instead of trusting their customers to answer them. You shouldn't trust Best Buy if they expect their customers to answer questions for other customers. You should do your own research from the manufacturer's web site. You're lucky that I am smart and honest and helpful. I don't trust other Best Buy customers.
