Connect the tv to the receiver via ARC. Connect the DVD to any HDMI input on the receiver (1 through 4). With the tv on you would then select that input on the receiver to view your DVD. Connect other devices to the receiver and merely change the input to view on the tv. Some selections, such as Bluetooth, don't require a tv/monitor...such as streaming music.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.dvd to receiver, ARC3 to T.V. if you use 5 channel mode, you will get sound through all speakers.....no separation. there is another mode right next to 5 channel that gives true surround sound and depending on your speakers, it is awesome. (sorry, forgot name of the mode).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have all of the HDMIs hooked up to the receiver and just the receiver hooked up to the TV so our surround sound is always on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You connect the hdmi from the amp to the tv. Then each component that you want to use, like your blu ray player, connects to one of the inputs on the amp whether they be hdmi, component, av, or whatever. In my case i would have my dish hopper, bluray, and Amazon fire stick each connected to one of the hdmi inputs on the Yamaha amp.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You plug in the DVD player to the receiver. That way, you only need one hdmi cord.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
