Merciellus, you will connect your cable box to the hdmi inputs on the receiver. Do the same for your blu Ray player, video game system, roku system, etc. You can connect by HDMI or by the red, yellow, white A/V cables. Those will have a lower quality image and sound quality though. Then connect another hdmi from the tv to the hdmi port on the receiver. This will allow you to play all your devices you connected on the inputs through your tv.
