• The box/stand needs to stay within 50 feet of the probe. I went 50 feet from the box and it still worked.

• doesn't matter, as long as base is within range of the probe

• The dock must be within 5 feet of the thermometer, but you can roam around freely and keep an eye on the app.

• It says that the dock gives you about up to 150 ft of range with your phone. Obviously Bluetooth has a limited range, as with any Bluetooth device, and too many walls etc cause interference
