The controller card must be broken. Suggest to contact Zagg support for replacement it discount in a new one (as long as there was no liquid or physical damage).

My Zagg worked except for the top row. After spending many months turning my Zagg on and off when I needed to type numbers, I decided that it was time for a new one.
I had used the first one every day for a year. I figured it served me well.

If charging does not fix the issue, contact ZAGG. My first case had the same issue because the battery was allowed to discharge. Contacted ZAGG and they replaced the case. Great customer service and support.

I am not familiar with a circular icon. Mine pair fine with the iPad Air. You will need to contact Zagg for a response.

Try restoring the tablet to its factory settings. If that does not resolve the issue then the keyboard may be defective.
