Yes iy does. I had to replace my zagg screen protector after it fell and i got a chip, but NO DAMAGE TO THE SCREEN, only the screen protector

The protector basically just kept the pieces together, much like your windshield after a rollover. The second time, the screen landed on some dog food. Just some scratches on the protector. The next time, phone fell on coffee table, face down, flat. Screen shattered. It's worth nothing the original protector and first replacement were thicker. The second replacement was thin and flimsy. The current protector is also thin and flimsy. I don't have high hopes.
