I don't know what the cutout is. I had the best buy people attach the screen protector, so I"m not sure if that is on or not. I have found the screen doesn't respond as well with the glass cover, many times you have to really press hard with the flat of your finger to get the I Pad to respond. That's very frustrating as I asked that question specifically of the sales person. Does the screen/I pad respond as well with the glass cover as with a thinner cover, or not cover at all. I was told that I would not notice any difference. I do.
