absolutely not. I just made the $65 purchase mistake. The 2nd gen pencil does not work with this screen protector

Best Buy won’t take the product back because it was applied to my iPad...they told me i had to contact ZAGG

I have gen 3 and I use my apple pencil alot with out problem. Only thing I have noticed is that the screen sensitivity needs to be turned up for your finger touch. I find my self having to do this more then once to get the correct action. Swiping pages or dragging icons.

I just purchased a new iPad Pro 12.9 (3rd Generation) to replace my iPad Pro (2nd Generation) that had the same screen protector installed on it.. It worked great with the Apple Pencil version 1. I haven't tried to use the Apple Pencil on the new iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil version 2, but I am sure that it would work fine.
