It shouldn’t cause any problems it’s not thick to that extent. Also it does have a slight lip so it can fit most cases.

It does on the iPhone 11Pro Max. It is put on the phone before you put it in the case because the defender case doesn’t have the clear part of the case like it does with the older ones.

I’ve tried it with Lifeproof cases and it is too thick to use the glass and the screen protector that comes with the case. So I would say the same would apply to the otter box.
