Its shouldn't be scratching or permanent one's they may look like scratches try cleaning the screen n c if still there. If so then it maybe the tip of ur pen is broken the outer soft shell maybe damage

Yes, the pen does not scratch the screen protector at all.

The screen protector from Best Buy works great. I have had no problems using the supplied pen with the S-7 tablet. However, I did get the Geek Squad tech to put it on. If you are going to put it on yourself, the screen has to be free of any smears, finger prints, ect and dust as once the installation process of putting the screen protector starts, the likelihood of peeling it off and expecting it to adhere back is slim to none.
