Is there a glass shield for this type of phone? null

There is one but it is not available yet. The model number is G8ECGC-CL0. I am sure they will come available shortly before the phone is released.

There is a glass shield for the s8 or s8+, but using a case may cause it to pop off like mine did. Not case friendly.

I purchased the Otter Box Alpha Glass for the 8+ it goes on well and you can see through it fine but you have to tap hard for your phone to "feel" anything. So be careful about the glass shield.

I was told NO by Samsung because of the curve of the phone. But there's a ZAGG screen protector that fits like a glove. I would invest in a strong case.

Yes, look around. Not sure which to recommend for which case though as I haven't tried any glass. Check YouTube, there are some videos already out.
