• I don't even notice my iPad 2 in the case. Protects its great, and sometimes, i forget it's not a laptop. It's just a tablet in a case. Works great.

• Your iPad fits directly into the ZAGGfolio, so it would be impossible for your iPad to have any other protective case when using it with this product. So, to put it simply, yes... it would be a hinderance.
