Yes, very difficult to remove but it fits like a tight glove. My keyboard keeps loosing the bluetooth connection if left idle for any length of time - royal PITA - have to go back into settings and turn off bluetooth and then re-pair the keyboard.

yes, it will fit but look at the corners of the keyboard side "they seems to be bend" although is very minor. If it doesn't bother you, then will be good fit.

The iPad mini 2 is a different size than the iPad air 2, so I do not believe it will fit.
