• Yes it can. Our unit is setup to vent horizontally and works very well.

• Hello, This hood can be vertically or horizontally duct. A minimum of 6” round for AK65 and 7” round for AK21 and AK25 or 3-1/4” x 10” rectangular duct must be used to maintain maximum air flow efficiency for vertical ducting.
