Hello, CBI-600A is only the internal motor. Both the CBI-600A and the AK8100AS have a CFM of 600. Zephyr blowers are measured in sones instead of decibles, This blower and hood have a maximum sone of 6 due to it's 600 CFM blower. A sone is an internationally recognized measurement of loudness. It is a unit of loudness as perceived by a person with normal hearing. This is the level and quality of noise your range hood will emit in a kitchen environment when properly ducted.
