Hello Rob! Thank you for reaching out. For all range hood installation, we always recommend installing the range hood 30-36 inches above the cooking surface. If you are able to install this range hood at the minimum 30-36 inches, you may install a short kit to fit your 7.5 ft ceiling. The compatible short kit is SK-GL9i and can fit 7-8 ft ceilings.
