“Can these inserts be vented horizontally (outdoors is right behind the range wall) as well as through the top? Ceilings are only like 91” tall.”

Hello, thanks for reaching out! All of our inserts require a minimum of 15-20" of vertical airflow from the top of the hood before executing a 90° turn or elbow and cannot be ducted directly out the back. For outdoor range hood inserts it is recommended to install the unit at a minimum of 36" and a maximum of 42” from the grill top.
