Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. The main difference is the type of stainless steel used. The standard 697-42 is made with 430g stainless steel. The 697-304-42 is made with 304g stainless steel. 304 stainless steel is outdoor rated but the standard 697-42 will be for indoor use only. Thank you.
