very comfortable with great noise cancellation

The sound quality is pretty good but not awesome. The bluetooth connection to my Samsung Galaxy S8 is decent, but could be better, but that's possibly the phone. Battery life is good. Overall I very much like these.

Great sound and comfort, poor noise canceling

The battery is also amazing! The only reason I took off a star is that the noise canceling is not the greatest. Even with all the settings optimized for the best experience, I still find myself being able to hear what’s around me. Additionally, I have been told that others can hear what I’m listening to even if the volume isn’t that high.

Best headphones I have had

I previously was using AirPods and since I am constantly on video calls, it was causing a lot of inner ear pain. These were a HUGE improvement. They provide noise-canceling without hurting your ears and fit over my larger head and glasses. Totally worth the cost.

I my opinion, it's a really balanced sound. The bass isn't overwhelming, nice mids and highs. These made listening to HiFi music on Tidal a whole new experience for me. I'm not going to call these audiophile headphones but the sound quality for the price is really hard to beat. The build quality is nice and the app is user friendly. I'm already in Sony's ecosystem with my earbuds and I like the fact that it saves settings for multiple headphones/earbuds. The noise isolation is AWESOME! The ANC doesn't seem to have any effect on the sound quality unlike other headphones/earbuds with ANC. I noticed on my Bose earbuds, the ANC kinda messed with my equilibrium while the Sony's don't. IDK if that makes any sense but when I activate the Bose ANC it's like a similar feeling to ears popping on an airplane. I was originally thinking it was just between over the ear versus earbuds but my WF1000XM3's also don't, so it must be something Sony is doing different than Bose and others. My only 2 complaints are they aren't as secure on my head as other headphones. If I'm completely upright they're fine but if I lead forward or backwards they shift in either direction so working out with these is a no go and laying in bed with these is a little annoying. My other complaint is that they randomly turn off. I've chatted with Sony's tech support, done resets, but it still happens from time to time. Hopefully an update will fix this issue. It's few and far between so it doesn't bother me too much BUT it's still irking when it happens. I had similar issues with my WF1000MX3's but that problem went away after a few updates so fingers crossed. Overall, these are great. The pros out weight the cons in my opinion.

Love the the clear sounds of the music I listen to as a dj I can actually hear the highs and lows of the the music. Clear sound of the spoken words I can actually hear the words very clean and clear. I also have the ability to turn on a setting that will allow for automatic stoppage of my music if a call comes in or if someone walks up to me while wearing these headphones. The fit over my ear is comfortable and not pitching. Nice snug fit.

Nothing beats the sound quality and noise cancelation of these headphones. The battery life is great and these were super easy to pair and update to my Galaxy S20. The touch controls can be a bit finicky at times, but nothing too major.

They’re comfortably fit around my ears for hours. The main positive is its weight. I really only downside is the controls to pairing and unpairing is difficult.

No doubt about it, they are expensive. But I definitely see it as an investment and not so much “breaking the bank”. If you’re annoyed and want to shut out the world, THESE ARE THE HEADPHONES FOR YOU! If you want to feel like you’re in the studio whilst listening to your favorite song, THESE ARE THE HEADPHONES FOR YOU. No joke. Also, they double as earmuffs lol because the ear part is very cushy. Anyway, 10/10, I definitely recommend, plus I would get the warranty… I’m an anxious person and I always get it just in case lol. ONE DOWNSIDE, I feel like on the website the silver color looks more cream colored, and in person they give more silver/gray. I didn’t like that at first but it grew on me!

I checked professional reviews for both and thought the Sony was a little ahead, plus price was lower than the Bose at the time I bought it. It is an excellent headphone, and don't regret choosing it. I like it that is wireless, the battery last for days, on the kind of use I have for it. I use it for Zoom meetings, for listening to music on my laptop, and to watch videos and listening to music on my phone. Noise cancelling is excellent, and has other alternatives that allow me to listen to my surroundings. Added to that I like the feature that allows me to pause the sound on he headphone by just putting the palm of my hand on the right ear headphone, so I can talk to someone or listen to anything that might be happening around me. Also I like the feature that I can control the volume, pause songs, advance to another song and more by gesturing on the right ear headphone.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well.. ive been saving up for these for a while now.. i work nights and its extremely hard for me to sleep during the day.. i figure l try out sonys anc and listen to some meditation music and see id that works.. the xm4s literally saved my life.. i sleep like a baby every day.. super comfortable, blocks out almost everything when i have some light music playing.. and sound quality is top notch definitely the best headphones ive ever had.. especially with the app you can really fine tune them to fit what your going for.. xm4s are on point! Only minor gripe.. is that i have a really small head haha so most headphones come off pretty easily.. i do wish they made the adjustments a little more accomodating for that.. but its still a lot better than most headphones in that regard.. again super comfortable.. 5 stars for sure!

I Love The Sony - WH-1000XM4 Headphones

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Sony - WH-1000XM4 during the Black Friday sale to program to my Bluetooth on my 2022 Samsung S95B OLED 55-inch 4K Smart Television to watch sports, HBO-Max, Showtime, Starz, Epix, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. I love these Sony Headphones and the noise cancelling. The sound quality of these headphones is awesome. I originally purchased the Samsung - Galaxy Buds2 Pro but they didn't feel as comfortable in my ears and sometimes they would get loose in my ears and fall out. Also, I get up to 30 hours with the Sony Headphones before they need recharging. I can practically watch television all day before I need to recharge them. The Samsung Galaxy Pro 2 Earbuds only last about 5 hours before needing to be recharge
