Lost my headphones (left on a plane after an early flight) and decided to get these. Used to be a fan of Sony from back in the day when they were heavy into music, but felt they lacked the edge of technology. Well I am pleasantly surprised that these are excellent in noise cancelling and crisp music. Bose are really good, these are GREAT, they figured it out and are very comfortable. I can wear them for hours at a time. Uses USB-C which is nice because most of my devices connect with the same. The app does what it needs to, and one feature you may want to consider toggling is the pause every time you speak. I did not realize how much I spoke to myself out loud only to realize that I had pause the music. The touch controls on the side are also easy to use and intuitive. Would highly recommend

Great sound; heavy on the bass but you can eq that out. Noise cancelling doesn't remove all higher frequencies but makes them much quieter, while low frequencies are pretty much gone.

I’ve purchased the headphones for college but ended up using them for all of my audio needs. The noise cancellation feature allows me to remain focused and get my work done without distractions. From the gym to online classes to video gaming or streaming! This headset will be the first thing you grab and the last thing you’ll forget !

I don’t hand out five stars easily but these headphones never cease to amaze me. They have more features than you could ever imagine. If you get stuck in a setting just Google how to get out of it by using the model number of the headphones. It has more settings than are listed in the instructions. These really keep the noise out and would be great on an airplane even in the noisiest seat. They charge in the blink of an eye and the charge lasts me for a week of viewing in the evenings at least. I haven’t had to charge them yet. I just wish the charging cord was longer than 3 inches. They really exceeded my expectations.

They have excellent, rich sound with plenty of bass to make songs thump. They connect seamlessly through Bluetooth and offer extended control through the phone app. For the most part, the headphones are comfortable for wearing and have nice padding. But after a couple hours of wear the pinch force begins to hurt. Overall they are great headphones.

Punchy base with great noise cancellation. Sound quality can get a bit better but unless you are using multiple headphones throughout your day you won’t notice it. One downside is that it doesn’t have a lot of padding at the band for my liking but you can always get a third party cushion and attach it.

WH-1000XM4 Review

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Sound quality (9/10), build quality (9.5/10), long battery life (consistent ~30 hours on full charge), quick charging, being able to connect to 2 devices at once (so underrated if you use your phone and laptop back to back for the same tasks). Cons: The app has been buggy on and off for me (sometimes reactivated speak-to-chat in the settings after an update). The charger cable could've been longer. Sometimes, the touch interface mistook my tapping (pausing/resuming) as swiping (previous/next). Extra notes: At some point they were beeping for no reason, so I had to factory reset the headphones a few times (which did fix the issue). Do not use these for picking up phone calls or for voice chat! Summary: Very good headphones for students if you're only focused on the noise-canceling, audio quality, and build quality. However, the software is a bit buggy, so I would recommend trying them out when they're on sale and taking advantage of the return window if you're on the fence about them.

Works Surprisingly Well within Apple’s echo system

My main concern was how well it would work with Apple (volume control, Siri, switching devices, etc.). Given that Apple’s headsets use a special chip that allows for seamless switching, I thought it would be a mission just to get Sony to switch from my iPad to my iPhone. I was wrong. Sony has an app that you should install. This app allows you to pair 2 devices to the headphones, allowing for fast switching between the two. Noice cancelling is pretty good and the sound is way better than my Beats and AirPods Pro. One thing I don’t like is the touch controls. I had. To turn the feature off because I would accidentally activate Siri.
