great cannon camera

For beginners my daughter loves the pictures she is taking and it’s easy to use and operate. This was a great gift and who knows maybe the beginning of a little photographer.

Decent entry level but missing too many features

Fixed screen that's unable to swivel and NO touch screen, only 30 minutes of video recording time, only a few video recording options, decent auto focus system. The picture quality is great. If you need a budget mirrorless camera at this price range you should look elsewhere. Get the R50 instead if you want to get into the cannon mirrorless system, you'll be happy you did.
