Eventually I purchased a new computer through Best Buy.

no hover click issues

With the mouse- it works like it should. I wish I had thought of this fix before!

Doing cut and paste activities are more accurate with this mouse. Whereas gaming mouse too sensitive and can’t highlight what to cut and paste and always grabs more text than wanted. Very affordable and efficient.
