Once set up the VOIP service is great. Decent Internet is required. The "free" OOMA rate replaced a normal landline that cost over 10x more.

Great hardware and good service. I replaced the unit after about 5 years, then noticed a year later that they were charging me $17/month, presumably because they gave me a "free" upgrade for one month. I was never given the option for just the basic plan, which is great for $3-7/ month. Tell the agent you do not want the Premier trial service.

I purchased this for my mother-in-law to replace her land line. It was an easy setup and the process was fairly painless. The only criticism I have is that it was $40 to port a number in. This is a little higher than most places, but over all she is saving hundreds of dollars a year.

Purchased this item to save money on landline phone. So far I am very pleased and I am spreading the word to friends and family who still need a landline in their home.

Same as B4, the old one was probably OK, but was 20 years old. The purchase was made because I started getting single rings, or a long ring followed by short ones that always resulted in a dial tone. When the problem continued after installing the new Ooma, I disconnected my phone system, and plugged in a Bell System push button desk phone with the same results. Conclusions, single and short rings are the new norm. My regular calls have always come through fine. Perhaps it's a form of spam and robo call rejection, but they still get through anyway.

It worked exactly as it was described at ooma.com. Quality is superior, I got read of my RCN regional plan, was paying $4.23 (taxes, FCC fee, etc.) for 2 months, then when my trial of premium Ooma ended paid $60 discounted price (regular is $119) for a year.

been with ooma since 2014 and the unit finally died. Replacement works fine and i am still saving lots of money.

Working good and set up was easy. Had my old number ported to Ooma and it's been fine since then

no surprises, this is my 2nd one. will not consider going back to standard landline.

Minor install issues, however, not too difficult to iron out. If one is not familiar with computers, it may be frustrating.

This was a great service when I needed it - much cheaper than a land line, and was portable. While I had custody of an older relative, I needed to have one number for the house that could be reached outside of my cell phone (Court required) The service was great, and I could hook this up in both of our residences, as I needed to move it from place to place. I would use it again if land lines were still needed.

This is my second Ooma. The first one lasted over 10 years. Love it and especially love my $5 monthly phone bill.
