I also purchased it to go with the new laptop that I purchased at the same time. The Amazon label mouse wheel is much smoother in motion than the 'clicking' wheel of the Logitech M310. I find the clicking wheel motion to be annoying compared to the other smoother wheel motion mouses I have used in the past,

I am sorry that the M310 is not meeting your expectations. Logitech offers a wide variety of mice and fantastic devices that will not have the "clicky" feel on the wheel.
