It still works fine, but I left it in my old home when I moved, so I purchased a new one. I'm sure it is just as good, but it is lighter, the motor has a hitch (slow) on start then gets up to speed, the switch is different for speed controls and the motor has a very different sound. I have only used it once so far, but it worked well.

Do not purchase

I purchased only two years ago and it has already died on me. Just will no longer start. Called KitchenAid and they say the warranty was only good for one year so now I have to purchase an entirely new mixer. Total rip off. Worked fine until it just stopped working.
