You can push it to make heavier doughs

I make a lot of doughs. The motors will get destroyed if you do this but it’s better than buying an industrialized massive mixer. I’ve done 10 straight hours of cookie doughs with this machine and it’s still golden afterwards.

Really good mixer

I don't give it a full 5 stars only because of the residue in the metal bowl. I read reviews before purchasing & saw several comments about a dark residue left in baking items. I therefore prescrubbed the bowl (very well I thought) prior to using it the first time. I saw nothing on the bowl before I scrubbed nor after cleaning. I made a batch of bread dough & was disappointed to find several areas of darkly discolored dough. Have used the mixer repeatedly after this & no more discoloration. So what's up with this Kitchenaid? You should be better than this. Must be something left from manufacturing the bowl & you need to fix the problem.

It has a very powerful motor (stand mixers have more powerful motors than a tilt mixer in general) so it will mix thick batters without overheating. I highly recommend KitchenAid mixers and I regret not buying one before now. I purchased one for my mom a year ago and she also absolutely enjoys hers as well.
