This mixer was purchased as a replacement for an inherited 60 year old KitchenAid that still works fine! This new model looks nicer and has a terrific motor with a gradual start feature that the old machine did not have. There is no pouring shield available for this model but it is probably not needed since the bowl has a larger diameter than some of the other models and the gradual start eliminates ingredients from being thrown out of the bowl at startup.

I had used this mixer off and on at a relative's house for years, so it was a must have for me and I love it.

I use to have the smaller version but this one is much better and at a great price!! Wife is going to love it

I picked this mixer up during the Black Friday in July sale and it is perfect for yeast breads where the lower power Artisan series would tend to fall a little short. There were a few reviews complaining about it being loud, but I don't find it any louder than any other mixer (stand or hand) that I have used in the past.

Bought this item for Christmas gift. I know KitchenAid is great product and bought this one at a super value.

The color alone is amazing. I have wanted this specific one for 2 years and was finally able to get it since stock always goes out. The lift portion works great, handles very well. This makes baking a breeze.

this has all the power you need and then some. very sturdy build for years of use.

Got this on Black Friday as a Christmas gift for my wife. She loves baking and this makes everything easier.

This is a well built appliance with a long history of success. It is HEAVY and difficult to move around. I adhered some felt tips to the feet which helped immensely - just be sure that the unit doesn’t hop around under heavy load. I bought the additional accessory paddle with silicone scraper edges which helped reduce the portions that weren’t getting mixed in with the standard paddle. The reduced price on Black Friday made for an easier decision.

It’s just a wonderful, powerful, solid, stainless steel machine that met every challenge that I threw at it.
