I had always loved the Breville ovens, I had a small one in the past, upgraded to the Smart Oven Air Fryer 2.5yrs ago. Over the years you hear that people have issues with their display (which Breville will provide a shorten warranty because they know they have a design issue) but luckily I have never had on mine. This past week my oven's door was dropping, which seemed to be a tension spring that broke because the door would not have the same tension again. Unfortunately the 2yr warranty is over, so I reached out to Breville. Their response "We will service your over for $215 + tax". Outrageous! As I wasn't going to pay that, I decided to remove the cover and see what was the problem. To my surprise, or not, a spring is broken, which probably was led for the same issue from the display (a poor insulation from the main unit) and the heat broke the tension. As I wasn't paying that amount, I extended a bit the spring, connected it back and Voilá, back to new. I bought online 2 springs to replace once they arrive, but for now it's working. And for me, lesson learned. Don't buy from Breville anymore.

Got this toaster/oven to consolidate counter space and replace an old toaster oven and a counter top microwave/convection oven that didn't microwave any more. Bigger than the old 4 slice toaster but much smaller than the old convection oven. This preheats very quickly and bakes perfectly. It holds a 9x11 inch baking dish or 13 inch round pan that comes with it. Perfect sizes for serving 2-4 people. It has a slow cooker setting which I have not tried yet. Toast is evenly brown, crisp outside and tender inside. Controls are very easy to understand and operate. Crumb tray removes from the front and is very easy to clean.

This is the best kitchen product I have purchased in my life. I've owned my own for a decade and use it mutliple times a day, every day. This one was a purchase as a gift for a friend, though I also seriously considered buying myself a second as a backup. Not because my original doesnt work, but because in the case that it does ever fail, I dont want to risk being without it.

I have had a handful of different toaster ovens over the years of raising 5 children. Importance has been placed on being big enough to toast a lot of toast at once, but more importantly, even heat to bake pizza rolls, or even fancier small dishes. I have purchased what I thought were top quality toaster ovens, and they all served their purpose, but not one has come close to my new Breville!!!! Yes. Pricey. But wow. What a nice little oven. Baking is so nice, I'd rather bake smaller dishes and use the Breville than my oven. !! Toast comes out nice and even. And the many settings are perfect. Using is simple and user friendly:) Love the Breville!

Very impressed with this oven. Comparable to what I had in price but better features. So far it’s been a great addition to my kitchen. I bought the recommended cutting board to put above it to deflect heat. Works great!! English muffins, cookies, pizza and chicken tenders all successfully cooked in the oven.

I absolutely LOVE this thing. I waited a long time to get it because I honestly didn’t want to spend the money. It finally went on sale and I scooped it up! I am so happy I made the splurge. It is worth every penny. I didn’t have an oven for awhile so I used this every day. I now have an oven but still this is my go to instead of the big oven. It’s so convenient and it truly can do anything a big wall oven can do. The inside is such a nice big size. Way bigger than my emeril oven of the same caliber. I highly recommend this oven. It really is worth it. From toasting, to baking, reheating. It does so much!

High quality oven imo. We use it to cook 95% of the things we bake and broil. The convection feature assures even cooking when cooking frozen entrees but if you're expecting a top-notch air fryer I suggest you opt for a dedicated air fryer--I wasn't, so this one suits my needs just fine. The stainless basket grate cleans up easily with scouring pad or brush, My only negative comment concerns the cleanout tray: It leaks grease from the front after cooking chicken wings and also the manual says not to line with aluminum foil.

After again another issue with bestbuy my husband went to the store for my sons gift and saw the oven we purchased on the shelf. They said they didn't have any in the store. If you have issues with an item you purchased go to the store. You can not call the store you call and get a call center. The oven is amazing. It's like almost having a full sizes oven.

I owned the smaller model which had no issues for 5 years. I love the temperature consistency of the new oven and extra space. The air-fryer feature is OK, but there are cold spots near the fan and front. That’s why there;s a “furn and filp” alert. Even though the pre-heat brings the temp up, I have found that the oven would rock up and down and not stabilize. Only if it heats for at least 15-20 minutes the temp would stablize.

This oven is fantastic. I'm a big fan of the idea that an air fryer is just a suped-up convection oven and this really lives up to the concept. Just big enough to serve as a functional oven in meal prep but small enough to heat up quickly and do the job of a typical air fryer. I love that it can fit a regular round pizza stone as well as typical 1/4 sheet pans that I already have plenty of; no need for proprietary accessories here! While I haven't empirically measured it, I'm also pretty sure we're saving energy with this. I've found we use our full size oven much less often since getting this machine. I do have a full size convection oven that we can use for larger roasts and things, but I have had success roasting two pork tenderloins at once in the Breville and very happy with the results! I don't have too many cons on this device. The display got messed up at one point, but I unplugged it and it reset just fine and hasn't happened since. I also will say it does a good job of toasting bread pretty evenly, but takes a long time to get there since it's such a big space. My family doesn't eat a lot of toast, and the space comes in handy when making a bunch, but you may want to consider keeping your regular slot toaster if that's a concern. One other potential factor is ease of use. While I think it's relatively straightforward, the interface can be overwhelming. There are a ton of different modes to select from and it can feel intimidating if you're not used to it or technically-inclined.

THIS HAS PROVEN TO BE A GREAT PURCHASE. BEING ALONE IS THE HOME CHANGED THE WAY AND AMOUNT I COOKED. THIS OVEN DOES EVERYTHING BUT AIR FRY, AND DOES IT VERY WELL. I HAVE BAKED, BROILED, AND TOASTED IN IT. MONEY WORTH SPENT! RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

With all the cooking options you can use this thing for just about anything! Great and easy to use! The slide out tray is little hard to keep sparkling clean if that bugs you but everything else is easy to clean to keep your unit looking sharp. The air fryer setting takes a little adjusting to if you want super crispy items but it's like any other piece of kitchenware it takes getting used to.

Happy we made this purchase. The Breville app is very helpful by providing cooking tips and recipes. It takes a little time to become familiar with the various cooking modes.

We use this every day for practically everything from toast to roast. We use the air fry feature all the time, makes fries so crispy. Works excellent for reheating leftovers. We bought this because our current one is ~15 years old and we weren’t sure how much longer it would last.

This air fryer is the appliance I use most. I can cook practically anything. Steaks come out perfect. Pizzas taste like they came out of pizza oven. If you eat frozen meals, they’ll taste so much better. Plus, it takes up so little counter space. Get rid of your microwave and buy this, immediately.

This replaced my 30 year old toaster oven Glad I waited. The breville is awesome. Has bake and convection Even baking. No hot spots Highly recommend this. I have another brand in our winter home and it has the French doors....hate...hate...hate it!!! You will burn your arms and hands everytime you open those freaking doors. French doors are dangerous

We have a full-size oven that does it all, but it’s much bigger and harder to clean. The Breville makes smaller jobs easier to handle. It functions as a toaster oven and has a broasting feature it really has it all. Plus, its minimalistic design helps reduce clutter on your countertop since you don’t need multiple appliances.

This thing is banging, and I find myself writing this review 2 years after getting it because it has been so amazing. Shout out to Kenji for explaining the magic in this thing, but I'll provide a short glimpse of the range of what it can provide an avid home cook. I reheat fried foods using the convection oven, and it behaves like an air fryer (have to add a bit more time to recipes due to its size being much bigger than most air fryers). I have baked with it all day long. I can make clotted cream at a super low temp for 12 hours, or garlic in oil at 225 for 2 hours. I made roasted shishito peppers in 12 minutes at 425 yesterday. I make toast in it all the time, heat up pop tarts, make garlic bread, and have even baked brownies in it. The pullout at the bottom is brilliant, so as long as your mess drips down you just slide it out and rinse it off. Quarter sheet pans fit it perfectly and can help you prevent messes, so I would definitely encourage you to pick one up for <$10. Cheese toast comes out perfect. In summary, use it probably 5 times a week, and when it comes to summer time it is my workhorse because I don't want to turn on my full oven and heat up the house. It basically is like having 2 ovens as long as I'm not trying to bake a giant casserole or something. This is my most used appliance, hands down.

Bought this oven as a gift for a friend to replace his previous countertop oven ... and I've never seen the guy so happy!! He loves the versatility of this oven and all the ways it knows just how to cook each food just the way it needs to be heated. Even the little features like the magnet to draw the rack out upon opening (when placed in the middle position) and the light that automatically comes on when the timer has 30 seconds left. It's a great countertop oven that meets and exceeds all expectations!!

The price was over twice of the one it replaced but, the looks, quality and operation is at least 5 times greater. It is very easy to use and it cooks the food the same way each time. We use it daily. The sales people at Best were very helpful and spent all the time we needed to make an informed choice. We didn't purchase the convection oven we were looking at on-line, we, with the stores help purchased one more suited to our needs. I especially like the controls and read-out. I recommend this oven or it's big brother.
