After unboxing and washing/wiping everything down per the setup instructions, I plugged it in. Immediately I got an E01 code. After calling support and waiting half an hour, I finally got an answer. They had me plug it into different outlets and told me it was caused by either not having enough clearance or having other major appliances on the circuit. Now I, not being an idiot, had already read those things in the setup guide and positioned it on an open counter and plugged it into a circuit with NOTHING else on it. The machine being defective only became a “rare but possible” consideration after they made me plug it in all over my apartment. In short, got sold a defective item out of the box; Breville support’s solution was to return it to Best Buy, so I did.
