  • Migraine Inducing Default Lighting Pattern

    The default rainbow wave lighting pattern on this keyboard is eye-watering and it ALWAYS shows during startup and shutdown. Any changes you make are only available when the software is running, and even though there's a checkbox in the software for "enable/disable startup effect", checking/unchecking made absolutely no difference. Macros also don't stick if the special software is not running. I really wanted to like this keyboard. My previous keyboard, which had stood loyally with me through 20 years and a lot of nonsense finally failed in a way that I couldn't fix or get around. The G910 has the same heavy feel, deep keys, and solid click that my last keyboard had, but the annoying software, lack of onboard memory, and poorly chosen default backlighting (you really could have done better with that, Logitech. If it had been literally *any* non-moving color/pattern, I wouldn't be about to return this keyboard) just ruined it for me.

      Hello Eliz, thank you for sharing your experience with the G910. I'm sorry that the preset rainbow effect on the keyboard is bothersome to you. I'm sorry that this keyboard does not offer onboard memory for you to be able to run the desired color options without having to have Logitech's G Hub open. I'm glad that the style and the feel of the keyboard were exactly what you were looking for, but sorry that the programmed features are ruining it for you. Logitech does have a few other keyboards that offer on board memory as well as the same key switches. I would recommend the G613, this keyboard however is not backlit but that could be a good thing as the lighting would give you an unnecessary headache. Thank you for being a Logitech customer.
