Mfg. spec for charger is 90 watts, but the laptop actually lost battery charge with this charger plugged in and the laptop in use. The 90 watt charger from the manufacturer charges like a champ. I don't have the means to measure the actual output, but after my experience the claim of 90 watts seems dubious.

Called their number... wait... wait... wait... Finally the rep. says it's another model that works, so back to Bestbuy to get the right one... that's $10.00 more. Some guarantee. Had them refund the purchase. I will go look elsewhere for a back-up power / charging chord. Tried to contact them and Best Buy about this issue; no such luck. I "guarantee" it will be a long time before I buy anything else from Best Buy.

Well I was wrong in that assumption. So, I tried to order a tip from their website which it states if none of the tips in the box fit your computer they will send you the appropriate tip for free. I got the new tip and it fits my computer but it does not fit the computer..... save your money and purchase manufacturer’s charger.

When I took the charger home, however, I found that it didn't have a tip that fit my laptop, and the one listed both in the package and on the website were far too large. That being said, the curbside pick-up and return people were super helpful and quick!

It ruined my daughter's laptop

The sales person helped her pick this one out. The voltage was too high and it fried the mother board on her laptop. Now she is a full time college student with no laptop. And she spent $70 that she needed for books on a charger that was wrong. I bought her laptop for her at Best Buy. I would have never thought this would be the result. I dont have the funds to buy her another laptop so she is going to struggle. Thanks alot. Am I happy? Not in the least.

The worst thing was that because of my busy schedule, it took me longer then e0 days to return so they onlt gave me store credit, which o couldn't use towards a new charged because you couldn't get me the right one. This purchase was an attempt rectify the situation. I pulled the charger off the shelf and verified that it would work with my computer but it did not have the proper tip for my Dell computer even though 'Dell computers' was in the list. I returned this product for one that worked the next day; Targus Universal Laptop Charger.
