I know how disheartening it is when a product results incompatible. Dell laptops over the years have used many different connectors for charging, while the device is made to be compatible with as many laptops as possible some might be totally incompatible. My best advice is to bring this to the store's attention so they can review it and check if this could be exchanged or returned.
