It was just the pen in bubble wrapping. Works like new. Had no issues connecting or any noticeable scratches. Great purchase.

Great Addition to My Surface!!!!

The pen allows me to easily update notes and capture screens very easily to drop in documents. Although the newer version is a little more pricey than the first version, it is a great addition!
