There was nothing specifically wrong with the previous one, but I was remodeling the kitchen and went with the French door design. That being said, I don’t expect a Samsung product to last me too long. The electronic whosies and go awry often. Usually I can fix it myself after a quick YouTube search.

Great Fridge, Slow Ice Maker

The fridge fill perfectly in the cabinet space and is a huge storage improvement. The only thing I am disappointed about is that the ice maker is very slow. I really like the ability to store large things, pizza box, food trays, etc...

Poor customer service

Needless to say I was very disappointed. They don't make refrigerators like they use to. I wanted to buy a LG however the Samsung met my criteria for price and style. The salesman told me Samsungs have improved since 2011. We'll see!

Repair tech said it was a closed cooling system problem which meant big buck repair costs and long delays waiting for a repair appointment (a specialist needed to do it). I decided to get a new one and this unit for the bill. Quick delivery and the installers did a great job.

The water dispenser could be a 1/2 inch further away from the shelf to make it accessible for any size cup. Also, if the button for the water stuck out a little more, to make all cups able to turn the water on that would be great. But the size, shelves, lighting, temp, and freezer are all great. The water dispenser is just a bit awkward.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.There isn't a foot plate at the bottom of the refrigerator so when you look at that refrigerator from across the room you see the unsightly looking white industrial wheels. There is also a 1 inch gap from bottom to floor that allows objects to roll under. I called Samsung to learn that this model doesn't come with one! I thought the delivery guys left it on the truck!! Not paying this kind of money for poor craftsmanship!! Going back for refund.
