I had to buy a usb extension cable to plug these in. Operation these do work great.

By plugging these speakers into the earphone jack on my AM-FM radio, I was able to recover use of the radio since its internal speaker was broken. So I was pleased that Best Buy still carries the plug-in type speakers even though most speakers now use wireless technology.

Bought these and plugged them in. No grounding to my outlets here BTW. They worked great right off the bat. I like the on/off switch being right there and also volume and headset plug. Good sound. Helps to hear what people are saying the first time particularly when you are of a certain age and they think you are going deaf.
