They are "speakers" for when one needs "speakers". I wouldn't get these to listen to music or to impress anyone. I would only buy them in case I had a comp where I wanted to play sound out loud and wanted a very basic speaker. With that said, these are "quality".

You get what you pay for. Mostly use them for background music while I work. These replace some I bought 15 years ago. If I ever have to replace them I would spend a little more and get the next level up. John R

There's virtually no installation problem. Plug the speakers into a wall outlet, plug the cable into the headphone out port, and now there is quality stereo sound that is easy to adjust. Also, these are a bargain and have become my favorite gift to other laptop users.

Unfortunately this monitor had no speakers. So I went on Best Buy website and found this stereo speaker system for $19.99. As the reviews stated, they weren't the best for high quality sound reproduction, and they were right. But, for what I paid and for what I'm using them for, I have no complaints. So if your looking for an affordable sound system where sound quality isn't important, this is the way to go. Also they are not bad looking and actually look more expensive than they are.

These speakers are louder than my monitor but they are flat, have negative bass, sound tiny and surprise surprise it feels cheap.

The knob is small and stiff, so it's annoying to adjust volume unless you turn the knob all the way have dedicated volume keys for your system. I have that, so it get the job done. They are a bit weak though, at full volume it's definitely more than I need, but if I need to step away to clean or something it's barely audible.
