Stayed with Sony as previous AVR was solid and I wanted to use the original speakers. This is a low to mid-range AVR--nothing more, nothing less. It functions adequately and as with all Sony AVRs you must wait out the slight "boot up" period after turning it on. It has turned off once by itself, but no continuing problems as of yet. Sonys get hot--they must have plenty of "breathing room."
