    this receiver does what it needs for me I had the 550 and upgraded to the 590 cause the 550 could not handle the 4k. so far no problems

      Thanks for sharing your review and experience with the receiver. It's unfortunate that the remote is not working properly. These steps may help resolve the issue:

      -Point the remote control at the remote control sensor on the receiver.
      -Remove any obstructions between the remote control and the receiver.
      -Replace both of the batteries in the remote control with new ones if they are weak.
