Enjoying the Sony 725W 5.2-Ch Hi-Res 4K Ultra HD A/V Home Theater Receiver. We recently purchased a Sony 4K Bravia TV and a 4K Blue Ray player from Best Buy and wanted the 4K receiver to keep everything up at 4K. I like the way the TV and Receiver work together when selecting a streamed program or a Blue Ray disk. A simple one button press turns both the TV and the Receiver on and makes the necessary connections and audio playback selections.

I bought the Sony725W 5.2 channel A/V receiver to use with Bose speakers. I was pleased by the power the amplifier delivers and the clarity of the sound it produces. Inputs i use are xFiniti’s streaming box, a DVD player that I also use to play CDs and a TV. The choices of sound environment the receiver provides, stadium, concert hall, jazz club, etc., make it easy to match the sound effect to the music or video you are playing, although there is a momentary silence as it switches modes making it a little harder to compare them.

Excellent entry level 5.2 Ch receiver! Plenty of power and clean sound if all you need is basic 5.1 or even just 2.1 with virtual surround capability. Also lots of ways to customize the sound field for movies or music. A great value!

I needed a receiver that had bluetooth for outdoor speakers and also for use with an outdoor projector. Great sound and easy to set up.

onfiguration: Receiver Sony finally got it right. An awesome affordable receiver with 4K and HDR pass-through. All HDMI inputs are 2.2 compliant. Easy Set Up. Nice Power at 145W per channel. Have it hooked up to a couple BIC tower speakers and a Dayton Subwoofer - will expand to 5.1 soon (or 5.2 ). But no rush - has a Front Surround feature that really does make 2.1 sound like real surround. As long as this thing lasts - and it's heavy and built like a tank so it should - I couldn't be more happy with my purchase.

Solid system for a bedroom or mid to small room but lacks functions of more expensive units. It does the job and has enough power but you can't dial in the speakers very much compared to some others. I find myself frustrated with speaker calibration often. There is some light adjustment but it's just the frequency and decibel level. There's also no option for different settings to switch between such as movies, games, or music. You have to manually go through menus and change each individual setting each time to get quality sound. There isn't like a selectable preset you can program and switch between. Auto calibration is really bad too. It sounded like an elevator speaker system and had to completely change every speaker setting after calibration. This system replaced an older Yamaha unit that failed after 12yrs but had better sound with lower power output and much better adjustability. Mostly disappointed in this one but it works well enough as a bedroom unit. If you just want surround sound and tweak it a lot on setup you'll be fine. If you want easy adjustability between sound inputs (movie, music, games, etc), you'll be disappointed having to manually change every speaker every time or living with one setting that does not fit all. Next time I'll go to a higher end unit.

Where else can you find a stereo receiver with a phono input that is affordable? Have zero issues with the sound of this unit. Use it in a home office and it performs quite well. Nice features, bluetooth works great, like that it has bass/treble control from the remote

This is my second Sony Receiver. 1st one is in the garage and rocks. Decided to get another one to power Klipsche 5.1 Theatre Pack. Very happy with power and features. You can’t go wrong with this receiver. If I had any complaints on this it would be the speaker wire connections in the back. I am using 14 gauge wire and it is a tight fit in the push thru connectors in the back. But you will see this in every receiver at this price point.

Great receiver at a great price. Replaced a 7.1 Yamaha that was about 12 years old. I was worried about the musicality of the sound and this unit does not disappoint. Easy to set up, HDMI ARC works well and the Bluetooth feature is solid.

Excellent receiver, powers my 110 wat main speakers, Center and surround speakers.

Great receiver! I finally replaced my old receiver with this one and I'm glad I did. Attractive design, easy to use features, and great sound. Plus the bluetooth connectivity works perfectly and is easy to use.

Bought as open-box special to replace old AV receiver which had died. This unit is working perfectly and is easy to set up. It is handling a cable box and X-Box gaming system with 5.2 sound system including 2 front, 2 rear, 1 center, and 1 non-powered sub-wooofer without any difficulty.

Outstanding sound. Excellent quality. User friendly. Comparable price with other appliance centers. The technician came to install the system. He showed me how to use the system. Have not had a problem with the system. Very happy with the purchase. Definitely will recommend it to family and friends. I have purchased other home theatre receivers in the past, but this one is definitely the best I have ever bought.

Needed a receiver that would accommodate a streaming device and produce audio using its HDMI port when using a projector. This SONY was easy to set up and once plugged into an HDMI port it instantly provided audio. Previous receiver was very old and would accommodate a streaming device using HDMI and produce video but there was no audio. Had an A/V guy look at it and it would not work.

We bought this to replace another receiver we had purchased a few years ago that did not last very long. I was a little Leary because of the price. It was less than I expected to pay. But it has turned out to be a great receiver. We have front back and center speakers and they sound great. We use it for a projector, play station and firebox and they all set up easily. We have a all in one remote that was very easy to change over to this system. Very impressed.

Great audio system for a very reasonable price. I purchased mine about Amin the ago and could not be more please with it. Simply love it so far it does everything it said it would and more. I really like the Bluetooth connection for playing music and it had four HDMI connections so I am able to plug all my devices in it and not worry about my TV only having two HDMIs that force me to unplug devices to use others.
