My old Sony receiver lasted 34 years. I can only hope this new one will do the same. Easy set up and running a Boston sub woofer with Boston speakers. Sound is very clear and crisp. Plenty of power for any situation. Highly recommend !

Overall not bad its a good receiver for what your paying for. I purchased this primarily due to price as my very old receiver died out after about 20 years (also sony). Ive been using sony receivers for quite some time so decided to keep the brand going. However, there is an issue with ARC that users need to know about. When using ARC everytime you turn on your system you get a pop up menu to select what you are using the receiver for. No way of turning this off and is quite annoying. Sony says this is by design and no way of turning it off other than disabling ARC which then defeats the purpose of using the Smart features like Netflix, Disney+, Hulu etc. I've gotten used to just selecting the options every time i turn on my system but surely would have probably gone with another brand if I would have known this! VERY ANNOYING FEATURE! Regardless of that the receiver is actually very good, but sony needs to find a way of letting us turn that off!

Wish I could give 5 stars, but that is still to be determained. I love how simple this receiver is… super simple…. But the first time I used it for a “music” night it shut off all by itself. When I approached it I felt heat… and when I touched it, it was hot enough to burn. Not sure if this is normal or not… will be calling about the issue. My have been used for 3-5 hours total. If the heat is normal, I do not expect this receiver to last long. But I have not called them yet to find out.

Works great with my sony x900h tv, recognized the receiver instantly and basically set itself up. E-arc works great for xbox, e-arc from receiver to tv e-arc hdmi plug #3, hdmi #4 to xbox and it figures out all the rest itself, sounds great

Had this receiver for 2 years now and is working great. I haven't had any issues with it at all. I'm not a guy who know a whole lot about home theater receivers but its worked perfectly for me from the surround sounds to the Bluetooth connection.

Good sound quality for the price and can power pretty big speakers and get decently loud. Bluetooth is great! However keep in mind it doesnt have features like chromecast or apple air play that are in some of the higher end devices do that allow for even better sound quality than bluetooth.

Works as advertised. Easy to set up. Subtracted one star because there is a minor feature I can't get to work (automatic switching to exterior speakers in TV mode). Probably operator error on my part or incompatibility with my TV. Overall very nice unit. Good sound.

Great receiver! Upgraded from my 1990 Kenwood receiver and what a HUGE improvement! Love the Bluetooth feature! I can walk outside and change from Pandora to XM on my phone and have it play in my outdoor speakers without leaving my lawn chair!

Price was right. Easy set up once you read directions. Lots of functions to play with. And more than enough connections on back of receiver for you to use. And it more than enough handles the power for the surround sound speakers I purchased.

This is an awesome upgrade to the previous reciever we had. The sound is clear and does what it should and the bluetooth connectivity is simple. Would definitely buy again. My brother actually picked up the same reciever because he liked ours so much.

Good product, especially at the price point. Between the interior open space and our outdoor lanai, veranda and Tiki bar, I actually have 12 speakers configured. I was able to do all the hookups myself and we are enjoying the system.

Affordable, and smaller than the model it replaced (HD700). Setup was a breeze and took just minutes. Sounds great, easy bluetooth pairing and playback. OSD works great. I've no need for 7.1 sound at the moment, so it was a perfect fit for me.

Nothing wrong with this one, except a few days later another Sony went on sale that was a net $20 more but a 7.2 system with more power. This unit is great if you are just going to have front surround, where it shines. I did not fully appreciate the 5.1 from it, and I want both to be very good.

I haven't had a new receiver in quite some time. So I saw this and decided to get it. Wow, The sound is beyond great. I had no idea that it could enhance my 4K TV's picture. I really enjoy the bluetooth mode. Overall a great product. Very pleased.

Great receiver for price easy installation ,easy setup instruction very good .Sound quality excellent very pleased with product. I upgraded from my fifteen year old receiver to this Sony one. Connected to my 75" Sony with a Bose surround sound system just amazing.

Sony STRH590-725W 5.2 CH HiRes 4K: This unit delivers very good 5.1 Audio to HT system. Easy setup program with included microphone. I was surprised at the improvement in the Video processing over the previous older Pioneer unit. For this price point and power rating highly recommended.

This is definitely an upgrade from my previous stereo. I feel this offers everything needed at this price point. Navigating the setup menu and features is really simple with just the remote and receiver display. Though i haven't connected this to anything other than music. Running it with a Sony subwoofer and some older Polk Audio tsi200 bookshelf speakers. As long as the quality lasts, i have zero interest in upgrading this receiver and it definitely meets and exceeds my needs
