Multiple HDMI Displays

It works most of the time without any issues, but sometimes the 2nd monitor will flicker. I've resorted to plugging the 2nd monitor into a 2nd USB-C port on my laptop.

Posted .Acquiring multiple displays to work with can be complex without the right adapter. We are glad to hear the JCD381 is assisting you in obtaining more screens. Regarding the flicker, we recommend contacting support on the casing for technical assistance due to the different reasons that could be causing this. It can be as simple as a bad HDMI cable, to a defective HDMI port. In the case where the JCD381 is deemed to be defective, as long as you are within the 2 yr manufacturer's warranty period, we will be open to exchanging it for you. Thank you for the review.

It seems to work find with non IOS devices. I eventually gave up and threw the Mini Dock in a junk drawer. My time is too valuable to spend trying to work with something that is not compatible with iOS.

Didn't Work for How I Wanted to Use

Also couldn't get 2 monitors to work at the same time, but may have had screen settings set up properly to Mirror my Monitor.

When you plug a keyboard or mouse inside the device, it freezes. I would advice to use only wireless keyboard/mouse with their dongle plugged into the device.

There are only 2 USB ports but enough for me. I personally don't want more than I need so this one is suitable. Other brands I used before failed to recognize the second monitor connected to hdmi port after few weeks. Not sure how long the current one last, if it fails like others I will update and of course some stars will fly away ...

Allows for Two HD Screens

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had initially purchased the USB 3.0 Mini Docking Station from J5create but that docking station only had one HD input in an HDMI port which caused one screen to be HD and the other SD and really messed with my eyes. Found this USB Type-C Dual HDMI Mini Docking Station also from J5create and it solved the issue by allowing for two HD screens to be used. NOTE: Make sure your laptop has USB Type-C ports which can also be called USB Type-C Lightning Ports on a Mac. The Dual Screen function works on my Dell work laptop, but haven't quite figured out how to make it work on my Macbook just yet.

To get the full functionality out of this docking station you will need to plug it into a USB-C port that supports Display Port Alternate Mode. Your computer’s documentation can tell you if your USB-C ports support this feature.
