Out of the box, the mouse felt fine. When it came to setting it up, I ran into the first hurdle. Getting the USB dongle out of the mouse was impossible without a tool. I don't have fat fingers, abnormally long or short fingernails or anything, the recessed location within the mouse is simply a poor design. I ended up using a paperclip to GENTLY pry the dongle out from its cave. On the first use of the mouse, everything worked fine with the laptop and the G-Hub software worked like it does for my other Logitech devices. Upon completion of the work, I went to remove the dongle from the laptop and the thing broke in half. Literally, plastic cap and part of the circuit board broke off from the metal base and the rest of the circuit board. Mouse is now inoperable after one use. Inexcusable design flaw. Tried to use the mouse with an older Logitech dongle as well with no luck. I'll just stick to my trusty G502 instead of this piece of junk.

I bought this mouse on sale and used a $10 Best Buy rewards certificate so all in all it was around 30 dollars. This is an insanely nice mouse for that money. Even at $50 its still a steal. Nice matte finish, feels very premium and slightly weighty but not too heavy. I got it because I wanted the programmable buttons on the side for gaming, wanted lightspeed wireless and something from Logitech since I have really liked any products Ive bought from them for the most part. you can count on quality. I also really didn't know how much I would appreciate the on the fly DPI button that can be customized in the G hub software. The replaceable batteries also last forever. Ive had it for close to 2 months and use it daily as well as gaming and the batteries are still showing like 90%. I have nothing bad to say about this mouse even if I paid a hundred bucks for it.

I have had this mouse for one month 30 and it worked really well until it started to disconnect. I replaced the battery thinking it would solve my problem, but the mouse still disconnects frequently. I would not recommend this mouse because of its disconnection problems, but will update my review if I find a solution or if I get a replacement. If it had continued to work I would have given it a 5/5.

The G305 gaming mouse by Logitech is a no-frills entry level gaming mouse for people who want to use the latest sensor technology but don’t want to pay as much as the premium gaming mice. The mouse is wireless only and uses a replaceable AA for power – which is handy as it is easy to get it going again when the battery dies. Logitech advertises a very long battery life for this mouse using their newest sensor technology and there is a low battery indicator that tells you to swap out the battery when it does get low. One note – you must download and install the Logitech Gaming software to use all of the features of this mouse. As far as performance, this mouse performs well. The up to 12,000 dpi sensor technology in the G series optical mice is impressive, and honestly I would recommend anyone who spends a decent amount of time in spreadsheets or especially diagramming using a mouse purchase a gaming mouse for those uses as well – the high quality sensors make those jobs much easier. One limitation on this mouse is the number of buttons. With only two side buttons and no horizontal scroll, you are limited to 6 buttons. One nice feature though for Logitech G mice is the ability to map one button to “G-Shift”, which allows the other buttons to perform a second function when the shift button is also held down. I personally map the mouse wheel button to this function, and then map the other buttons on the mouse to other things I use regularly. For ergonomics, this mouse is pretty compact and can be used in either hand, although the side buttons are kind of awkward for lefties. It’s actually a great travel gaming mouse – not too bulky or heavy, and completely self-contained with a slot under the back for the receiver to go. I would recommend this mouse for a PC user who wants to step up the sensitivity of their mouse, for a gamer on a budget, or for a gamer who wants a compact option to pack with a laptop for travel. The lack of buttons is a limitation on this mouse, but the sensor and the simple battery replacement are both nice features.

The switches are precise and well placed, The dpi switch selects one of the five resolution presets, and indicates dpi by color change. This mouse is a bit smaller than most, and should be comfortable for people with smaller hands. My mouse worked perfectly, right out of the box, without any setup hassles, and is powered by one AA cell. There are no instructions at all from Logitech. (Does any one else read them)? The palm plate on top will slide back to access the battery. The wireless dongle comes 'hidden' next to the battery holder inside the top cavity. In the box you will also find a dongle extension USB cable, and the AA battery. The price is less than half of many other similar featured mice, and Logitech is a reliable brand that has been around since the beginning of time. Works Wonderful! Easy to use! The speed is on point with all my work. Light weight makes the hand function effortlessly.

It's a pretty good wireless mouse. It is light weight and feels good in the hand from moving around to clicking. The side buttons are pretty good as well. Depending on the AA batteries you put into it, it last a good while. The only issue I have is that it would disconnect and reconnect during gameplay sometimes which is annoying, but it could just be my mouse. Otherwise it's a good product for it's price.

This mouse is pretty good! It really is fast and the DPI goes way higher than my wired logitech mouse. There isnt any delay in response... and trust me I tried to see any and couldn't. PROS: Lightweight Fast/Responsive Easy to set up High DPI Wireless Clean look Durable (appears & feels) CONS: USB Storage (its pretty hard to get the usb Out of the mouse's storage) No RGB (oh well) So there is this one issue with the mouse... when the mouse is not in use for a long period or when you start up your laptop/desktop it does not go to your DPI setting. So I have my DPI set at 8000... when I start my PC it is not on 8000, its on 2000 or something lower. This also when my PC is on but im not using the mouse after a while like 1hr +... it might be a settings to save on battery, so I have to check. Other than that this mouse is awesome! Love logitech!
