one problem the tv sound is not being recieved

This is the first time I have had a problem with any thing sony, I have been buying sony for 45 years. in the last thirty years went thru 2 sony home theater receivers if you ask me that's great.

It was shipped promptly, and received on Nov.20th. I unboxed it and hooked it up this morning (Nov.22). I should have simply plugged it in first. But noooo, I was excited and connected all the speakers/HDMI inputs and plugged in the speaker calibration mic first. Plugged in the receiver, turned on, and Nothing ! New batteries in remote - check. I tried to turn it on directly from the receiver - nothing. I disconnected all the inputs and moved the receiver to a different outlet - nothing ! I think someone returned this item and it truly wasn't inspected. Now I see no more open box/excellent items available. Looks like I'll be returning and waiting to see what Black Friday brings for sales. Really bummed..

Excellent sound output

Best decision ever!! I’m not really experienced when it comes to receivers as I have always used surround sound systems. So I did not have a cooling fan ready for this receiver. The heating of the system after a few hrs of use was the only disappointing thing for me.
