Lasts about 5 to 10 seconds and then levels out. I did not expect this item to act this way. This is the second one I have tried, the first one stopped working on day 3 following purchase.

I finally gave up and will try again another time. Even with the instructions it didn't work. I will never buy any thing like this again. And I could really use it!
