I needed to network unlock my AT&T cell phone. In order to do that, you need to insert a sim card from a different provider which will prompt the phone to ask you for the unlock code. You can acquire the unlock code from your provider once you satisfied your contract. So for my purposes, this sim card worked great!

Having been an AT&T user for years, I was overpaying for cellular. Mint has a different approach and offers bulk pricing, pay upfront for service and get a great price.

Best part is that if you buy the sim card at Best Buy, Mint will credit your account the $5 cost when you switch and pick a plan.

But guess what? There is NO CATCH!!! You buy the kit, download the MINT MOBILE app, activate the trial sim using your unlocked GSM, or locked T-Mobile device, and voila! You've got 7 days with enough minutes to figure out if the service is going to ve adequate for you in the places you'll need it.
